Function / Content

This series consists of a numerical index of miscellaneous lease number cards for the Northern Territory. The cards record purpose, address, nature of transfer, applicant and transferees, date of transfer, registered number of transfer, if applied for, if offered at auction, if granted, term of lease, plan, situation of land, area, annual rent, document of lease, remarks, name and address of lessee, annual rent payable on in each year, year, amount due, payments made date, rent, penalty, receipt number, remarks. Lease numbers have North, South, Central and location stamped or written on them after the number. The cards were recorded on miscellaneous lease number cards and end with general lease number cards.
